Information: Exanote e-mailboxes are left for use for usage periods of six months after user fees have been paid in advance. The usage contract is automatically renewed for another six months if it has not been cancelled one month before it ends. All exanote e-mailboxes are imap mailboxes. The abbreviation "imap" stands for "internet message access protocol". It is a network protocol which makes it possible to access and administer e-mail messages via the internet. This means that the e-mail messages of an exanote e-mailbox are stored on an exanote server and can be accessed via an internet connection using the imap protocol. The number of messages that can be stored in a e-mailbox depends on their total size and the storage space of the mailbox. In order to access the messages stored in an e-mailbox, you need a mail client software running on your local computer that is capable of using the imap protocol, or you need an internet browser and use the exanote webmailer. The exanote webmailer is a software running on a server of exanote which provides the functions of a mail client. Thus, a mail client is no longer needed on your local computer. All exanote e-mailboxes can be accessed with the exanote webmailer. The access to a mailbox is always protected by a combination of username and password. Each e-mailbox has a worldwide unique e-mail address and collects all messages sent to this e-mail address. If you need additional information or have questions, please do not hesitate to send a message to help@exanote.com. We will be happy to assist you. |
